The work was really extensive, including all electrics, plumbing, lighting, repair and reinstallation of the windows, total redecoration, new flooring, installation of a new kitchen and two new bathrooms, the creation of a large number of bespoke wardrobes, cupboards etc and all undertaken to a very tight timetable and achieved to very high quality standards with beautiful finishes and on time! From my perspective, even more impressive, all of this was achieved, with each of the various work-streams and trades effectively coordinated and project managed by Calum – while I as the client was several hundred miles away – with constant communication and progress videos. Is your company licensed and/ or insured?
Yes, we are a licensed and insured company. We strictly adhere to local regulations and industry standards in Brighton and Hove, ensuring compliance with building codes and safety ordinances. Our comprehensive insurance coverage provides liability protection for property damage and worker injury, giving our clients confidence that their project is in safe and qualified hands.
Who is in charge of health and safety on site?
We are committed to maintaining rigorous health and safety standards. As the principal contractor, we assume responsibility for health and safety, providing a Construction Design and Management (CDM) plan for each project. On larger projects, we will also notify HSE and conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with our safety protocols.
Who is responsible for getting the necessary permits?
We work closely with our clients to determine who will handle arrangements such as parking reservations, planning permissions, and neighbour notifications. Permit acquisition responsibilities are decided on a project-by-project basis.
